Find Your
Why

Students explore their gifts and purpose while practicing essential durable skills like empathy, conscientiousness, self-regulation, perseverance, and time management. Through meaningful relationships with advisors and peers, students develop self-awareness and set personal goals that guide their educational journey.

Project-Based Learning

Meaningful
Exploration

Our two-hour learning blocks allow students to dive deep into subjects through hands-on projects rather than passive lectures. This approach equips students with the curiosity, confidence, and collaboration skills to tackle complex problems and lead with purpose in any field.

City As Our
Classroom

It helps students immensely to tie in concepts most students may only read on paper to real-world scenarios and living, breathing people. That’s why we intentionally and strategically take students into the community to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.

HAPPY FAMILIES

When we looked at schools in Nashville, we wanted an environment where our child wouldn't just be "processed," but truly seen. Now that our child is in 6th grade, we’ve found that Templeton Academy is exactly that. The 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio isn’t just a brochure statistic; it completely changes the daily dynamic. Because groups are so small, our child is an active participant in a seminar-style setting, guided by teachers who bring incredible expertise and infectious energy to the table. It’s been a joy to watch her stop "doing school" and start pursuing genuine interests through the unique block schedule.
Just as impressive is the administration’s accessibility. There’s no "ivory tower" here; the leadership is responsive, inclusive, and sincerely listens to parents. Between the Core Advisory program and using Nashville as a classroom—like her recent fieldwork at the National Museum of African American Music—Templeton builds a sense of agency that traditional, rigid models just can’t match. It feels like a true partnership. For any Nashville parent seeking a human-centered education where their child can finally find their voice, Templeton is it.
